Many of us have a higher cholesterol reading than we would like, but does that mean we will eat nothing but lettuce for the rest of our lives? Of course not! It is said to lower the levels of LDL cholesterol and fats in our bodies when taken in large doses, as well as raising the HDL cholesterol level in our body. It is found in dairy products, poultry, fish, lean meats, nuts, and eggs. Legumes and enriched breads and cereals also supply some niacin.
